An Illinois municipal client was preparing to relocate a major highway leading into the city. In order to accommodate this need, the municipal would need to remove and relocate approximately 2 miles of overhead line. Utility Design Services was retained to provide the design and layout of the new electrical sub-transmission and distribution lines that would serve the city.
UDS provided construction drawings utilizing PLS-CADD design and the necessary electrical standards and specifications. We provided the required field engineering, design survey and construction staking along the major highway. This project required coordination and permits with the Department of Transportation and the municipal. UDS also provided the procurement of 30 self-weathering steel poles for this project. The project was completed on time and under budget.
